Beverly welcomed all for traveling to Owensboro to attend the AAMS meeting and the EMS Conference.
Minutes. Minutes were posted on the website and copies made available prior to this meeting. No corrections / or discussion to the minutes. Motion to accept by Jason and seconded by Walter. Motion passed.
Financial Report. Walter notes the checking account has a current balance of $162.78 with no deposits and an expenditure of $1757.22 (MPC Promotions for the KY AAMS t shirts). The saving account has a current balance of $7798.77 (Air Evac paid their $500 membership). Total funds available: $7961.55. Walt makes a motion to move money from the savings account (as necessary) to maintain a $1000 balance in the checking account. Motion to accept by Jill with a second by Linda. Motion passed.
Wings Report. There was a discussion concerning the Memorial Wings, but the administrator of the Wings was not present and no written report was forwarded prior to this meeting.
T Shirts. Beverly yields the floor to Lisa Nicholls (designer and keeper of the KY AAMS t-shirts). Lisa notes that MPC Promotions (Louisville, KY) helped in tweaking the back design and did a great job in the production of the shirts. Small to X Large shirts will cost $9 for members ($10 for non members), XX Large $11 ($12 non) and XXX Large $12 ($13 non). Lisa will be selling the shirts after the meeting and during the Expo. Each service is asked to help staff the KY AAMS table during the Expo to help sell the shirts and to spread the word about KY AAMS. Also, shirts will be for sale on the web site (shipping and handling chargers will be determined). Members thanked Lisa for her t-shirt endeavor.
Brochure. Beverly yields the floor to Jason Maan (designer of the KY AAMS informational brochure). Jason discusses the brochure design and the contents. Several slight changes need to be made to the highlighted county locations of some services and we need to add Vanderbilt to the map. The 500 brochures cost $40.00. Brochures will be given out at registration and at the booth. Leftover brochures will be divided among each service for distribution to our customers. Members thanked Jason for his brochure work.
Linda Minton and Mike Poynter reporting. The committee has three recommendations:
1. Regularly attend KBEMS meetings.
2. Appoint a representative to KBEMS*, and
3. Research and development on air medical legislation
(*Mike Poynter is on the air medical task force for KBEMS and he will report issues to KY AAMS.)
Marsha Roberts and Rick McKinstry reporting. Discussion involving potential classes that could be offered at next year’s air medical conference (held in conjunction with the KY EMS Conference and Expo). Possible classes:
1. Safety
2. Survival
3. Weather issues
4. Patient care
5. Difficult airway
6. Missed injuries
7. Aviation subjects
8. Communications (Crew and ACS)

There was a brief discussion on a regional dispatch center, however there are no new issues with this subject.
Jill inquired why the new Board has not been formed yet. Until this date, a quorum of all the primary and secondary representatives has never met. The service representatives are:

No issues or concerns were addressed during the Executive Officers meeting.
